I have been waiting for the opportunity to be able to write this post and it just goes to show that sometimes the wait really is worth it.
It was back in September when Kat Mills contacted me about doing some photography for her. I have known Kat for quite some time and although she does live outside my normal catchment area, I was excited by what she had in mind.
Kat told me that she was working on a new album and wanted some photographs for the cover, and would I be willing to help out? Err let me think about this for a while… of course I would. I knew that she also wanted some family photographs doing so we also scheduled those in on the same day.
The session was booked for November and during the time leading up to the session we traded ideas for the session and things that we could cover. On the day we were also joined by another singer (Jess Dipper) and covered a variety of different shots using both a natural setting and a white background. It was an amazing time together and such good fun.
After the session it was then back to High Wycombe to begin the editing process before sending the final images over to Kat.
It didn’t end there though for Kat, out of all the photographs taken it was then time for her to select a single image that was to be used on the cover of her album (not a job I would have liked). That done she then worked with beatroot media to produce the final cover image.
Such an enjoyable journey and great to see the final result. Can’t wait now for the album released (I think there will be some singles released first though).
Thank you, Kat for this wonderful opportunity.
