Have you got questions?

It is understandable that you would have questions, most people do.

Below I have tried to cover most of the questions that I get asked however if you have any other questions please feel free to contact me.

Most of my family photography is done within 15 miles of High Wycombe.

It is possible though for me to provide a session outside of this area. To do this we would need to agree on travel expenses.

Unfortunately at the moment I don’t have a studio. It is on my list of things to do so watch this space as they say.

Although I have done newborn photography in the past it is not an area that I specialise in. I could provide you with a documentary style session or I do have contact with a couple of other photographers in the area who do specialise in newborn photography.

The simple answer is yes I do.

I would say though weekends are my busiest time so if you are thinking of a weekend session book your session well in advance.

I am available all day.

However, more for outdoor family photography, there are better times than others. Although midday may look nice in bright sunshine it does create hash shadows which aren’t the most flattering. It is much better to go for early morning or evening when the light is changing.

No. I don’t expect anyone to order anything without seeing what they will be getting.

Most of my work comes through word of mouth so the service I provide is important. As a result I will always aim to give you the best service that I can.

Booking your family photography session is simple. Just decide on the type of session you would like (click here to view the sessions) and then send me a message via the Contact Me form provided. I will then get you provisionally booked in and send across all the information for your to confirm your booking.

There is no obligation to purchase anything. You are free to leave without buying anything, the only thing it would cost you is the session fee.

From time to time I do run special offers on certain services depending on what I am trying to promote at the time. These are not guaranteed though and for some services I may not run any special offers.

The packages included with my family photography are discounted considerably against making individual purchases plus you also gain a discount on additional products.

You are of course free to cancel your family photography session. I would however ask you to consider re-arranging the session first.

If you do need to cancel your family photography session I would ask that you give as much notice as possible so that other have the opportunity to book.

If you cancel within 2 days of date of your session your session fee will not be refunded.

Yes it is possible. The session fee will need to be paid before your session though. For packages and products I can arrange this however the they will not be available until the final payment has been made.

Yes friends and family can make their own purchases. All you need to do is share your gallery with them by sending them the link.

I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance. I have also been through the checks and safeguarding training to work with children.

As the saying goes what you get out of something depends on what you put in. Although, you don’t need to prepare for your family photography session I would highly recommend getting involved in the planning.

After I have your request i will send you a mood board with some ideas that you may want to consider. This is your opportunity to have a look around and also suggest some ideas of your own.

I have had clients before how have not been involved in this part of the process and then after seeing their gallery have told me it wasn’t what they expected. Not only does this stage mean that you will know what to expect, it also adds to the excitement of your session and helps you to relax on the day.

That is children for you. It goes with the job and don’t worry your children don’t behave, they will not be the first or the last.

The great thing about the style of photography that I provide is that it is flexible. If your children aren’t happy about doing something we can simply try a different room or location. If that doesn’t work there are other things that we could try.

Also remember that children (or parents) don’t always need to be smiling to make a good photograph. It is about capturing the emotion and telling a story that doesn’t shout “Say Cheese!”

I will check the weather forecast ahead of your family photography session and if it looks like there will be rain I will contact you to go through your options.

If it is raining you will be given the option to reschedule the session.

The location of your session is entirely your choice.

Lifestyle sessions are usually in your own home.

For outdoor and a day in the life it could be anywhere. Please note though that if the location is outside of 15 miles from High Wycombe travel expenses may be incurred. Also some locations do charge for using their venues. These charges can be high so it is worth checking first as you will be liable for these charges (most commonly places similar to the National Trust who charge up to £500.00).

This depends on which session you are booking. For a standard session though this is usually between 1-2 hours.

During your family photography session I will take a lot of photographs, usually 300-500.

Don’t worry though I will not expect you to go through them all. After your session I will review the images and select around 50 images which will then be edited and placed in your gallery.

Don’t worry. Your children come first. If you child is ill on the day just let me know as soon as possible and we can re-schedule your session.

Yes please. Dogs are great.

After your family photography session I review and edit the photographs that I have taken before uploading them to an online gallery for you to view.

A link to the gallery will be sent to you via email. I aim to get all galleries sent out within 2 weeks of your photography session.

Unless requested the photographs will be in colour.

For a day in the life sessions I may decide that some images work better in black and white so will provide them for you that way.

No. All purchase are made directly through your gallery. If you would like wall art products you are able to contact me with your request. I will not contact you to sell anything.

Yes. The majority of my customers prefer to purchase digital images which is why my packages are based around this.

With digital images your order will be emailed to you, usually, within minutes of your order.

For printed products they are normally sent to you directly from my print supplier within 2 weeks of your order.
